The Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Charleston, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, & Blues Dance Mailing List of Swing Buffalo (for Buffalo and the surrounding area)...

There were a few people who responded to yesterday's SwingBuffalo email with new events, so I thought I'd get this time-sensitive information to you asap.

Tomorrow is the Third Queen City Jazz Festival sponsored by the Colored Musician's Club.  It will be on the street on Broadway at Michigan and runs from 1pm right up to the start of Buffalo Hop at 8.

Babík is playing at Thursday at the Square.  (They're great to Bal to!)

The Albright-Knox Art Gallery is hosting "The Roaring Twenties" from 3-10pm Friday a week from today where they will be teaching the Charleston (probably the 20s version) to live jazz music.

Then Babík will be playing at the Albright-Knox on Sunday August 3rd from 2-4pm.

The St. Joseph University Church is hosting a "Big Band Dance Under the Stars" featuring the Jim Tudini Band on Sunday August 3rd from 8-10pm.

The Sugar and Jazz Orchestra will be playing at the NTSHS (N. Tonawanda Sr. High School) Night Out Tuesday August 5th.

And finally, the Tonawanda Post 264 Big Band will be playing at the Brighton Arena in Tonawanda the same night from 7:30-9:30.  I'm not sure if these last two events will have dancing, but they should!

So there's tons coming up!  This is all in addition to yesterday's emailed events!  Don't miss Buffalo Hop tomorrow!  I can't run my script from work which generates the nice summaries, so if you want details on any of these events, go to the SwingBuffalo.com Calendar page.

Keep Swingin',

Rob
