I plan on checking out 23 Skidoo today. Anyone wanna coordinate so we can Lindy Bomb it? Lindy Fix is on Monday. Otherwise, it's a fairly slow dance weekend. Don't forget that there's a Queen City Swing encore performance at this month's Tudini dance at the Mary Seaton Room in Kleinhan's Music Hall the third Wednesday. Also, this month is the last Buffalo Hop and it's going to be the climax of a mini-workshop taught by the awesome lindy hoppers from Waterloo, ON! Details still forthcoming... Stay Tuned! For those of you in Rochester (or with cars and a willingness to travel for your love of Balboa), Arlette and I will be teaching a 2 hour intermediate level Balboa class on Tuesday at the Tango Café Ballroom, so loosen up that frame and prepare to dance small to any tempo!

Beginner Jitterbug Lesson 8-8:30

This is the one and only lindy event in Buffalo and it's located just off Buffalo's famous Elmwood strip. Buffalo is finally on its way to establishing a lindy scene. For those of you who don't know, Lindy Hop is a form of swing dancing that came about in the late 20s and early 30s. It went through a resurgence in the mid to late 90s and is going strong across the US and dozens of other coutries. Swing dances featuring lindy are a very social event. Everyone dances with everyone, though it's not typicslly a dating venue. Swing is a lifestyle based on the pure joy of dance: focussed on fun. So bring your spirits and prepare to smile! Beginners are not only wanted, they are required! We need you to make this happen!

DJ'd swing music will feature Big Band, classic swing like the Rat Pack & Ella, Blues, & other popular contemporary swing music.

Queen City Swing will perform their Pink Panther routine during one of the band breaks.

The Jim Tudini Band will be at the Mary Seaton Room at Kleinhans for the final big dance of the Spring Season. Corky will be giving a lesson from 6:30 to 7:30PM and music begins at 7:30PM. Free parking . Admission $15.00 If you have missed the previous dances, you should make an effort to get to this one. A nice chance to dress up a bit and dance on a beautiful wooden dance floor and enjoy the excellent acoustics. Gather a group of ten or more dance friends and you can qualify for a group price of $12.00 by calling the Box office at 885-5000. You need to arrange to pay in advance for the group pricing.
