Last minute addition to the calendar!: Andiamo Ristorante is hosting a Roaring Twenties Party tomorrow night (Halloween)! Note, the Balboa Study Group has been rescheduled from this Friday to Tuesday Nov. 11th due to halloween. The monthly SwingBuffalo Organizational meeting is cancelled for the same reason (and both events will likely be rescheduled next month also due to the holidays). The monthly UB dance is this Saturday. Attend in costume! Sunday, we're having the fourth class in our Basic Swing and Intermediate Lindy classes. Then of course, come catch Lindy Fix where we're teaching beginner Lindy Hop! Don't forget, Steven & Virginie are teaching in Rochester November 7th-9th! They are two of the world's best Lindy Hoppers.

Beginner Jitterbug Lesson 8-8:30

This is the one and only lindy event in Buffalo and it's located just off Buffalo's famous Elmwood strip. Buffalo is finally on its way to establishing a lindy scene. For those of you who don't know, Lindy Hop is a form of swing dancing that came about in the late 20s and early 30s. It went through a resurgence in the mid to late 90s and is going strong across the US and dozens of other coutries. Swing dances featuring lindy are a very social event. Everyone dances with everyone, though it's not typicslly a dating venue. Swing is a lifestyle based on the pure joy of dance: focussed on fun. So bring your spirits and prepare to smile! Beginners are not only wanted, they are required! We need you to make this happen!

DJ'd swing music will feature Big Band, classic swing like the Rat Pack & Ella, Blues, & other popular contemporary swing music.

Come check out Eight O'Clock Jump, the hot new swing event in Buffalo.

Fridays from 8-11(except the last Friday of the month) you can enjoy

lessons(8-9) in classic swing styles such as East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop,

Charleston, Balboa, etc. Then from 9-11 there will be open dancing featuring a

variety of swinging music.

The lessons will be progressive on a monthly basis. The first Friday of the

month will feature a beginner lesson upon which the next few weeks will build. In

September, we are proud to offer a month of East Coast Swing\; wheras in October,

we will feature Charleston! For those who miss the first of the month, we will

offer a 20 minute crash course from 9-9:20. this will be designed to give new

dancers the basics so they can get out on the dance floor.
