Our event has a hot new name: "Rhythm Shuffle". Keep September 17th-19th free so you can make it to the full weekend of classes, dances, bands, & performances. Watch for our advertisements coming out soon!
Swing Dance Thursdays is tonight at the Polish Falcons. Catch the Pyramid Big Band this Saturday at the Brounshidle. Then shake your thang at Lindy Fix and Swing Schoolhouse to start out your week. Mark & Venus are beginning a new session this Tuesday, so if you've been wanting to move beyond or pick up east coast, they're a great place to start. Lindy Fix has been offering a rotating range of instructors to give you various perspectives in east coast and other dances every Monday and it's still just $4! Also, beginning June 28th, we will be offering a Beginner Balboa 6-week progressive series starting an hour before Lindy Fix at the Polish Cadets Hall. More details on that to follow.

Beginner Jitterbug Lesson 8-8:30
This is the lindy event in Buffalo and it's located on the up-and-coming Grant Street area. Buffalo is finally on its way to establishing a lindy scene. For those of you who don't know, Lindy Hop is a form of swing dancing that came about in the late 20s and early 30s. It went through a resurgence in the mid to late 90s and is going strong across the US and dozens of other coutries. Swing dances featuring lindy are a very social event. Everyone dances with everyone, though it's not typicslly a dating venue. Swing is a lifestyle based on the pure joy of dance: focussed on fun. So bring your spirits and prepare to smile! Beginners are not only wanted, they are required! We need you to make this happen!
DJ'd swing music will feature Big Band, classic swing like the Rat Pack & Ella, Blues, & other popular contemporary swing music.
