Tonight, dance to a live band!: The Jammin' Gypsies at NCDC's Swing Dance Thursdays. Also, this weekend is the UB Swing Dance Club's monthly dance which will be valentine's day themed. Also, we're lovin' Lindy Fix's new home at the Polish Cadets Hall. The floor is awesome and the atmosphere is energetic! It's only $4! Bring a friend. Then check this out, we're bringing Lindy Fix on the road! On Monday April 5th, we will be hosting Lindy Fix at the Colored Musicians Club with a live big band. Yes, that's right, a live 19 piece band, for only $4. How did we get it so cheap, you ask? That's their regular practice night. In fact, we're donating all proceeds to the Colored Musicians Club.

Beginner Jitterbug Lesson 8-8:30
This is the lindy event in Buffalo and it's located on the up-and-coming Grant Street area. Buffalo is finally on its way to establishing a lindy scene. For those of you who don't know, Lindy Hop is a form of swing dancing that came about in the late 20s and early 30s. It went through a resurgence in the mid to late 90s and is going strong across the US and dozens of other coutries. Swing dances featuring lindy are a very social event. Everyone dances with everyone, though it's not typicslly a dating venue. Swing is a lifestyle based on the pure joy of dance: focussed on fun. So bring your spirits and prepare to smile! Beginners are not only wanted, they are required! We need you to make this happen!
DJ'd swing music will feature Big Band, classic swing like the Rat Pack & Ella, Blues, & other popular contemporary swing music.
