Lots going on this month. Check out our 20's Charleston classes at a public library near you. Come join in the fun as Queen City Swing demoes at the 2nd Chance Prom. There's a few dances happening around halloween listed below, including a French-themed dance (a.k.a. Buffalo Hop). Also, on the 24th, we are starting up a series of workshop-style classes at UB that are open to the public. They will feature a different dance style every other Saturday. We start off with Charleston taught by Sam & Sylbie.

Queen City Swing at the 2nd Chance Prom *THIS WEEKEND*

Members & friends of QCS will be performing demoes and social dancing in the VIP Room at the 2nd Chance Prom. Attending the event requires a $20 ticket, but to get in the VIP room, it's $100, but it's a very upscale affair that happens only once a year in Buffalo. Beginner Jitterbug Lesson 8-8:30
This is the lindy event in Buffalo and it's located just off Buffalo's famous Elmwood strip. Buffalo is finally on its way to establishing a lindy scene. For those of you who don't know, Lindy Hop is a form of swing dancing that came about in the late 20s and early 30s. It went through a resurgence in the mid to late 90s and is going strong across the US and dozens of other coutries. Swing dances featuring lindy are a very social event. Everyone dances with everyone, though it's not typicslly a dating venue. Swing is a lifestyle based on the pure joy of dance: focussed on fun. So bring your spirits and prepare to smile! Beginners are not only wanted, they are required! We need you to make this happen!
DJ'd swing music will feature Big Band, classic swing like the Rat Pack & Ella, Blues, & other popular contemporary swing music.
